Jorge Vera is a fine arts photographer born in Lima, Peru, who specializes in silver based black & white and color photography, medium-format and alternative chemical processes. His work is widely collected and has been exhibted in galleries, museums and juried shows throughout the United States. His latest exhibit is  "El Ojo de la Puerta" (Peephole Series), a voyueristic journey through South Beach, Florida, on the night of October 31, 2001. The Peephole series was shot using a special optical lens created by the artist, emulating the effect of peering through a peephole in a door.  (See images, right.)
